Description:

In this 1907 work, Signac utilizes his signature Pointillist (or Divisionist) technique, where small, distinct dabs of pure color are applied in a mosaic-like fashion. Rather than mixing colors on a palette, they are meant to mix optically in the viewer's eye, creating a shimmering, radiant effect.
