Description:

This witty 18th-to-19th-century hand-colored satirical print lampoons fashion, vanity, and society schools during the Georgian and Regency eras. Set outside a building signed "Young Ladies Boarded & Educated," the illustration depicts older women dressed in exaggerated juvenile fashions—complete with elaborate feathered bonnets, low-cut gowns, and floral garlands—attempting to present themselves as youthful maidens.
