Description:

This painting, titled "The Meeting," is attributed to Pietro Longhi and depicts a scene with several figures in what appears to be an indoor setting, possibly a private room or salon. In the foreground, a woman dressed in an elaborate yellow gown is seated, her attention drawn to an older gentleman with long white hair and a blue cloak who is leaning towards her as if in conversation. Behind them, other figures are visible; one man in a red jacket stands further back, while on the right, two masked figures, one in a pink cloak and another in a black tricorn hat and cloak, add an element of intrigue or Venetian carnival atmosphere.
