This fresco, originally created around 1522–1523 for the Casa Rabia in Milan or the artist's country house, depicts a scene from classical mythology. It shows the hunter Cephalus being introduced to Pan, the god of the wild, in front of a classical, round temple dedicated to Diana, the goddess of the hunt. The temple is a prominent architectural feature with Corinthian columns and a domed roof.
