This grand narrative canvas is a centerpiece of Vittore Carpaccio’s famous Legend of Saint Ursula cycle. The composition is divided into two dramatic scenes: on the left, the violent martyrdom of the saint and her followers by the Huns; on the right, her solemn and dignified funeral procession.
