This exquisite altarpiece captures the arrival of the Three Kings at the humble stable in Bethlehem. The Virgin Mary sits with the infant Jesus, while the elderly King Caspar kneels to kiss the Child’s feet. Behind him, the other Magi and their vast retinue—featuring horses, dogs, and attendants in exotic, colorful attire—create a sense of grand pageantry.
