This altarpiece panel by Meister Bertram von Minden, a prominent German Gothic painter of the 14th century, presents a vivid visual narration of biblical stories from the Book of Genesis. The artwork is divided into six scenes: the top row depicts the Creation of the World — with God creating animals, Adam, and Eve. The bottom row includes dramatic moments from Old Testament stories such as the Sacrifice of Isaac, and narratives involving patriarchs like Abraham and Isaac. Executed in the International Gothic style, the figures are elegantly elongated and adorned with flowing robes. The composition is framed by an ornate gold border, and the colors retain a luminous medieval charm. This panel is part of the Grabow Altarpiece, a larger devotional work originally created for St. Petri Church in Hamburg.
