Description:

This painting depicts the biblical scene of "Noli Me Tangere" ("Touch me not"), where the resurrected Christ appears to Mary Magdalene. Christ, partially draped in a vibrant blue cloth, stands on the left, gesturing with his raised hand as if to prevent Mary from touching him. He looks down at her with a compassionate expression. Mary Magdalene kneels before him, her arms outstretched in a gesture of recognition and perhaps an attempt to embrace him. She wears a muted green dress with a reddish-pink undergarment. Her gaze is fixed on Christ with a mix of awe and longing.
